Reagan Update

I can't tell you how many times I've wanted and tried to update the blog but my kiddos have been a wee bit challenging lately on top of getting ready to move in two weeks. Here's a little update on what Reagan's up to...
Reagan's new obsession is movies. We were sick last month and as a result, spent days lounging around watching movies. Reagan loves sitting in her chair with her very own bowl of popcorn to eat. Her favorite movies lately are: Anastasia and Toy Story 1 and 2.

I can't believe what a big girl Reagan is becoming. She talks constantly and is such a joy in our family. Her mullet is now long enough to put in little pigtails which I LOVE to do! This is a picture of her hair done for the first time. Unfortunately the hairdo doesn't last all day.
Reagan is also paying more attention to Sarah these days. If Sarah is crying (which is pretty much any time she's not being held), Reagan will say "What's wrong Sarah?" or she'll inform me that Sarah is crying. The other day she was pointing out the different colors on one of Sarah's toys to her. I just melt when I see Reagan playing and interacting with her sister. These are the moments that make it all worth it.

Other things Reagan is doing:

  1. Loves to run fast, especially with daddy
  2. Throwing tremendous tantrums- they've reached a much higher level lately (the terrible twos are REALLY here)
  3. Playing with her dolls more and being a little mommy
  4. Loves to make mommy and daddy food in her play kitchen
  5. Wants us to kiss her owies all better
  6. Loves to play at the park on the swing and slide

What Reagan is saying:

  1. Oh wow!
  2. Ohhh-kay! (response to most questions we ask her)
  3. I want some of dat.
  4. Suh-wing (swing at the park)
  5. Mmmmm, nummy yuckies!
  6. Hi momma (says hi to me constantly all day long, just to make sure I know she's there) :)
  7. One of my favorites: I want some of dat yuckie.

Lastly, I have to tell a cute little story when Erik took Reagan to the park one evening recently. She's been obsessed with the swing at the park lately and won't play on anything else. After pushing Reagan in the swing for 40 minutes or so, Erik was getting a little bored so he tried to see if not pushing Reagan would encourage her to play and run off some energy. It took Reagan awhile to notice that she wasn't moving. Then Erik decided to say to Reagan that the swing was broken. She replied with "No, daddy broken!" Not much gets past this kid :)

I still can't believe how big she is getting!!! Especially seeing her in her chair.
And you give me hope for Addie's mullet... I look forward to the day. Love the pigtails and her cute smile to go with them.

Good luck with the move!! That cannot be fun with two young kids! It's hard enough just dealing with me and one other adult.

Reagan is adoreable! I love the pigtails and I love the picture of her in the chair. How cute! Nice that she'll sit through a movie, huh? Let me know if I can do anything to help with your move, though I'm sad you're going...
